We have CCTV outside the property, as well as an alarm connected to a central one.

Quinta de São José da Relva was acquired on November 27, 1877 by Carlos Maria Gomes Machado, a naturalist doctor and founder of the Azorean Museum, which since 1914 has been named, in his honor, Museu Carlos Machado de Ponta Delgada, and has remained in the family ever since.
Conservations have been made to the house over the years, with the last major intervention taking place between 2011 and 2019, with all the existing architecture remaining.
